Spring Lookbook + 5 Easy Trends for Spring

Spring lookbook is here! This season, I'm all about neutrals, pops of colors, eyelets, minimal prints and pieces that seem to be a little more girly than I typically wear. Blame it on the weather or my shopping habits (definitely the latter), but it’s been hard to resist what’s been in stores lately.

These five Spring looks are easy to find, affordable and can be worn any day. Most of these pieces have been found at H&M! I’ve never had the best luck there, but I have recently and I can’t disagree with it since their price points are within my current budget. Each of these outfits is cute, casual and comfy making it simple to figure out what I should wear whether I’m heading to brunch, a date with Shawn or simply getting some work done at a coffee shop.

Look One: Bright Whites + Sneakers

I am obsessed with this white eyelet halter top from H&M’s Conscious collection! When I first tried it on, the fitting room made it look pretty see through but it’s actually not! I ended up sizing up to a size 6 for this top to make it loose enough for it to not get too tight around my ribcage when I sit down. The top is also super breathable which makes it perfect for hotter weather. The detailing on the shirt is simple and the halter top adds an extra feminine touch, which I love!

I paired it with my Levi’s Wedgie Fit Straight Jeans and my Madewell x Vans Unisex Old School Lace-Up Sneakers to give this outfit a more laid back feel. Adding a pair of sneakers to any outfit means you can last through a day of walking without sacrificing a good outfit.

White Eyelet Halter Top: Size 6

Levi’s Wedgie Fit Straight Jeans: Size 29

Madewell x Vans Unisex Old School Lace-Up Sneakers: Men’s 5H

Look Two: Matching Sets

I’m all for these pretty two-piece sets! Especially this gingham one from H&M. I’m not really one for ruffles, but these ones hit in all of the right places and are not overpowering. I was a little doubtful when I first picked this off the rack because it’s hard for me to find fitted skirts that don’t fit too tight or sets that don’t cover all of your stomach but are still practical.

I’m so surprised how comfortable and practical this set is! The skirt has built-in shorts made of the same fabric and print which bumps up the level of comfort and practicality. The skirt would even be cute with an oversized graphic T-shirt lazily tucked in, too! I paired it with my white platform shoes from Superga to keep it simple and to make me look a little taller than I am.

Matching Gingham Set: Size 4 Top, Size 6 Bottom

White Platform Supergas: Size 7

Look Three: Fitted Tanks + White Jeans + Textured Mules

Typically, I’m not one for tight clothing but when I saw this Polka-Dot top at Zara, I was drawn to it. Currently, my wardrobe exists of basics that can be mixed and matched with any outfit (which I love) but I’ve been trying to branch out and buy pieces that can be worn on their own without always having to accessorize it with a jacket. Even though it’s a fitted top, the stretchy material makes it super comfortable and I’m a huge fan of the straight neckline and feminine spaghetti straps.

My jeans are from Madewell and you’re probably not surprised by that. It took me a while to find a pair of jeans that weren’t see through and I’m not shocked that I found a pair there. The Cali Demi-Boot cut will always be one of my favorites so these jeans will be on constant rotation for Spring.

I probably wear mules more than any other type of shoe but I’ve only ever owned them in black so these Seychelles brown mules were a good addition to my closet. Unlike other pairs I’ve had, they were instantly comfortable and I didn’t have to deal with blisters while wearing them in. Wearing a textured mule with an outfit is an easy way to add in a subtle detail! Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the exact pair, but I’ve linked their website below!

Polka-Dot Top: Size Medium

Cali Demi-Boot Jeans in Pure White: Raw Hem Edition: Size 26

Seychelles Mule: Size 7

Look Four: Pops of Color + Canvas Sandals

Look in my closet and you will only find black, white, blue and tan clothing. I naturally gravitate toward neutral tones but I’ve been loving this color trend, specifically greens and reds! This red kimono-like top is a total one-off for me. Not only is this the brightest top I own, but it’s also the girliest. The flare body and sleeves are super fun and make it a statement piece! Since it’s a wider top, I opted for my typical straight jeans and paired it with my black skinnies from Madewell.

The canvas sandals I added were the perfect shoe to pair with the outfit. They continued the easy-going Spring look and kept the outfit bright. I’m not really a sandal person but these ones from H&M were an easy purchase because they can be worn with any outfit whether it’s denim shorts and a striped T-shirt or an outfit like this!

Sizes:

Red Kimono Top: Size XS (Unfortunately, H&M doesn’t have this on their website!)

9” Mid-Rise Skinny Jeans in Black Sea: Size 25

Canvas Sandals: Size 7

Look Five: Neutrals + Wide Leg Crops

These two trends seem to be like a uniform to me. I always gravitate toward purchasing pieces that can be worn in different ways. Owning neutrals will never go out of style because you’re always going to need clothes that can translate into different seasons and be worn in different ways.

The tank top, though simple, has a little bit of ribbed detailing in it which adds a good break up to a neutral look. The comfort and versatility of it make it a piece I’ll have in my closet for a long time. These wide leg crops have brought a new meaning of comfort into my life. The pants work well in any closet because it leans more toward the canvas/ tan color rather than a solid white which makes it easier to pair with any color in your closet. When I first bought these wide legs they were really long on me but after cutting them myself, they’re perfect! I’ll be living in these all season.

My black mules are from Soludos and they’re probably the softest leather I’ve ever felt. Not only is the leather comfortable, but so is the shoe! I used to wear a pair of black mules from Madewell religiously until they were wrecked, but these ones have lasted longer, maintain the integrity of the leather longer and are more comfortable even on their first wear!

Sizes:

Ribbed Camisole Top: Size Small

Wide leg Crops: Size 4 (Sorry! No link again. I’ll keep looking!)

Leather Venetian Mule: Size 7
